Plans Change

I think that each time I make a plan for my life God just laughs at me..

As many of you may know, I have attended the University of Arizona for my first year of graduate school, and I am in the process of obtaining my doctorate.  A few months ago a wrench was launched into that idea.

From the time I moved to Arizona from Ohio I was in love.  The people are incredibly kind, the desert is beautiful, and the sun shines constantly.  I felt like I was at home.  While I was in love with the area, I had a few worries about my program and school choice. I would imagine that this feeling may be somewhat like getting cold feet before a wedding. Little did I know that something awesome was to come.

About 3 months into my program and my move, I was offered the opportunity to transfer. Every. Single. Worry. that I had about my program choice was answered.  God took all my concerns that I was praying about and decided to hand me everything on a silver platter - that is, if I was okay with moving back to the Midwest. With that being said, with much prayer and many conversations with my family I decided to accept the transfer offer.

In one week I will be moving to Columbia, MISSOURI and will be one of the newest additions to the Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology program. It is quite the rarity for one to transfer doctorate programs, but I am ecstatic about this decision.  The training that I will be receiving is unmatched, and I have already been offered many outstanding opportunities as a result of this choice.

During this last week I'll be spending time with everyone who has made this year in Tucson so special.  I will miss every single person dearly.

Be sure to keep reading to hear all about my newest move and my journey at Mizzou!
